About Fabrizio Furs

Richard Fabrizio knows fur. He grew up with it. From Reiss & Fabrizio, his family business, to his many years at J. Mendel and Oscar de la Renta on Madison Avenue, to Fabrizio Furs, Richard has been catering to fashionable women and men his whole career. During his teenage years, Richard watched his designer father create special pieces for clients and celebrities as seen below.  Whether in a stylish showroom or a private space, he can work his magic and re-imagine any fur. The mink coat that you haven’t worn in 10 years can become a chic vest or bomber jacket — or a bolero to wear with jeans or an evening dress. Richard can guide you through the best possible options for your fur: It can be sheared; it could be re-worked with cashmere, silk or leather; or it could be used as trimming.

Richard Fabrizio’s father, Joseph, designed this famous mink coat worn by Elizabeth Taylor in her Academy-Award-winning  Best Actress role in the 1960 movie Butterfield 8.

Fabrizio also designed all the fur costumes worn by Barbra Streisand in her Academy-Award-winning Best Actress role in the 1968 movie Funny Girl.
